RULES FOR THE SIEGE
AT BRIDGEPORT 2008
These rules and regulations apply to Everyone that are
on the property of Jere and JoJohn
McCraw farm, for the Siege at Bridgeport 2008.
Rules
and Regulations for the Event!
1. Please unload gear as
quickly as possible and move vehicles out of camps. No vehicles or trailer will
be left in the Authentic Camps.
2. Set up camp quickly
and immediately hide/cover up all non period items. Keep Camp Visually
Authentic
3. Shot guns will be
allowed ONLY after a safety inspection and documentation has been applied to
weapon. The location of the Inspection will be at the overall Commanders tent
by Ordinance Sergeant.
4. Conduct of all reenactors will be regulated by each individual company
Commander. However drinking and noise and other conduct not becoming a gentlemen will be handled by the Staff and Jackson County
Sheriff’s Office.
5. There will be no
illegal narcotics of any kind allowed on this property, If you are found with
any said drugs, your unit will be asked to leave
and the Jackson County Sheriff Department will accompany you upon leaving
Incarceration and Confiscation can be made upon your exit.
6. Please be considerate
of your fellow reenactors and your ancestors while at
this event.
7. SAFETY IS IMPORTANT IN
ALL ASPECTS IN THIS AND ALL REENACTMENTS.
8. Please be responsible
for your safety and the safety of those around you,
Please report any and all hazards to the Staff immediately!
9. NO VEHICLES are
allowed in the camp after 9:00am Saturday until 4:00pm on Sunday. .Emergency Vehicles ONLY. Vehicles will be towed at owners expense after that time frame!
10. Attention
ARTILLERY UNITS: National Civil War Artillery Association
(NCWAA), Safety Rules will be enforced by Artillery Commander General Bob
Goodrich and Staff, along with Event Committee.
11. A grievance committee will be
formed in or at both, Federal and Confederate camps, to handle any problems
which may occur. If there is a problem you wish to have addressed, Please
report this matter to the committee located at the Commanders tent in the
Confederate Camp or Federal Camp. Any problems that may arise will be dealt
with immediately. We wish to be fair and see that all parties are treated with
respect.
12. Age limit for carrying weapons on
the field will age 16 years of age, others see the Commander.
13. Cavalry Coggin’s
Test Papers may be requested, be prepared to Submit.
If you can not find the Commander, PLEASE register your complaint at the Main
